If you saw our playground you would agree it's time for a new one.  It has cracks in it.  The rings are bad and the glider is broken.  The height is too short causing children to bump their heads.  The equipment is very dirty and we get dirty from playing on it.  The bees like it though.  They've built a nest there.  There is graffiti on the slides.  The mulch has all washed away and the area around the equipment is too hard.  A softer cushion would keep us from betting bumps and bruises.  We have children in wheelchairs that cannot use the playground.

Our playground is too small for the number of children in our school now.  We'd love to have a rock climbing wall.  We would like our equipment to be safe and work the way it is supposed to work.  We say hip, hip, hooray for a new playground at Hemenway.
